Veteran actor Ali Nasiriyan takes stage in '300'

Renowned Iranian actor Ali Nasiriyan has joined the cast of the musical play '300' at the age of 89.

He is performing alongside notable stars Gohar Kheirandish, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Bahram Radan, and Bahram Afshari at the Saadabad Cultural and Historical Complex in Tehran.

In '300', Nasiriyan portrays a Mongol soldier who destroys books and other cultural artifacts.

The play aims to revive ancient and humanistic concepts of Iran through a blend of music and drama.

Written by Mohammad Rahmanian, produced by Mohammad-Hossein Toutounchian, and directed by Reza Gouran, the narrative of '300' focuses on the destruction of books and the genocide committed by the Mongols in Nishapur.

It highlights the critical role of preserving the national language for maintaining the country’s territorial integrity and emphasizes the importance of nurturing the youth's connection to national art and literature.

In addition to Nasiriyan and the mentioned stars, the cast list includes Reza Kianian, Javad Ezzati, Mehran Ghafourian, Tannaz Tabatabaee, Manouchehr Alipour, Erfan Nasseri, Nima Sokout, and Amir Jadidi.
